Every Child Benton County is hosting a drive for fun Summer items and we are going to be partnering by gathering items such as sunscreen, flip flops, goggles, water toys, lawn toys, beach toys, bubbles, sidewalk chalk and gift cards. This Sunday, June 16th, KidCity will be the drop off point for your contributions. Meet Joelle! She is one of our awesome Grace City interns! There are different areas at Grace City to serve as an intern, what is it that you do as an intern? "As an intern, I have trained other interns and individuals to go God testing (evangelism survey tool), and taught on God testing a couple times at the campus meetings on Sundays. The campus team has something we call tripods that form every term. As a team of three, we God test, pray, and have a God talk. In the God Talk we invite the people we talked to while God testing, or our non believing or disconnected Christian friends to have a discussion about real life issues such as character, pain and suffering, etc. I have been encouraged by campus ministry leader Jon Williamson on trying to reach one person for Christ, and raise one person in discipleship per term. Each year in June we host a special evening of thanks for those who serve on our ministry teams here at Grace City. Whether they wheel carts to and from the theatre, teach kids about Jesus, or open their living room each week for ekklesia - there are hundreds of servants who make Grace City more than a church - they make it a home. We do our best to take note of their hard work all year but realize that you have a vantage point that is incredibly valuable and unique. Which is where you come in. This year we are asking you to share a story with us about a time that a Grace City servant impacted your life. It could be as simple as remembering your name, or as personal as leading you to Jesus. Whatever it is, we'd love to hear it, share it, and recognize them at the servant appreciation awards in just a few weeks.
